Abstract: Plastics are one of the most versatile materials of our modern soinert properties and high durability gives them an essential role in most econstruction, automotives, food and beverages, agriculture, health and pharmaceuticals. Pfrom a material used for niche applications in the first half of the element of our global economy [Plastikatlas,2019]. Represented in numbersincreased from 2 million mt (metric tonnes) in 1950 to 381 million m7.8 billion mt of plastics by 2015 [Geyer et al.,2017]. However, concerns about negative impacts caused by increased leakagesof plastic waste into our environment are rising globally. Through improper forms of waste handling, which are happening worldwide, plastic waste has become a ubiquitous part of our environment, transported by wind and wto places far off from any humansettlement. This accumulation of plastic waste in the environment is highly problematic; not because of aesthetics, but because of the multiple harmful, often lethal consequences for asuch as entanglement, digestion of plastics and other effects caused bhundreds of hazardous chemicals found in littered plastic waste [Kühn et al.,2015; Rochman,2015].
