Abstract: This global report documents Islamic Relief’s climate-related interventions across 23 countries, detailing a £150 million portfolio focused on adaptation, resilience, disaster preparedness, and justice. It outlines impacts of slow-onset and extreme weather events, such as the 2021–23 Horn of Africa drought and the 2024 Kenya floods, and includes case studies from Somalia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Mali. The report features their evolving Humanitarian Climate Vulnerability and Capacity Analysis (H-CVCA) toolkit and highlights integrated community programming and finance approaches for anticipatory action. It champions rights-based, gender-inclusive adaptation, emphasising community-led solutions, indigenous knowledge, and the intersections of faith, equity, and sustainable development. The document closes with Islamic Relief’s strategy for 2023–2033 and a summary of ongoing climate projects.
