County Government of Kwale
Abstract: This CCCAP sets a five-year strategic framework for climate resilience in Kwale County. It integrates vulnerability mapping, stakeholder consultation, and priority sector analysis spanning water, energy, coastal ecosystems, agriculture, and health. Challenges addressed include sea-level rise, ocean acidification, flash floods, vector diseases, and land degradation. It aligns local action with Kenya?s Climate Change Act, NDCs, and CIDP goals. Proposed interventions cover resilient water infrastructure, clean energy uptake, sustainable tourism, mangrove conservation, early warning systems, and institutional reforms. The plan identifies financing pathways including green bonds, blended finance, and county climate funds. It embeds gender, youth, and disability inclusion and recommends public-private partnerships for delivery.
