Abstract: This global desk review investigates how climate change affects gender equality and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). It identifies climate events?like heatwaves, floods, and food insecurity?as stressors that disproportionately impact women, girls, and gender-diverse populations. The report highlights rising cases of maternal mortality, reduced access to contraception, and increases in gender-based violence during climate-related emergencies. It explores the intersection of climate adaptation and health systems, calling for SRHR-sensitive climate policies and funding. Case examples from Kenya, Bangladesh, and Pacific Island states demonstrate how community-led approaches to climate response can integrate SRHR goals. The study emphasizes inclusive planning, gender-disaggregated data, and feminist frameworks. It argues that SRHR should be embedded within climate finance, governance, and disaster response strategies as core resilience-building components.
