Abstract: This study investigates indigenous climate knowledge systems across six African zones and eight ethnic communities, including Maasai and Samburu in Kenya. It explores traditional early warning methods, drought-resilient architecture, food preservation, and adaptive land-use. The paper critiques the scientisation of knowledge and proposes integrated resilience planning. Practices such as Kulang?s land-use model and El mejel architecture provide scalable adaptation strategies rooted in community experience and cultural sustainability.
