Abstract: This report presents the Climate Resilient Landscape Finance (CRLF) facility, a blended finance mechanism targeting sustainable land management near conservation areas. The pilot phase in Northern Maasai Mara aims to mobilize $12 million in capital. CRLF offers lease-backed loans and growth equity to landowners, linking ecotourism, livestock, and carbon credits. It addresses bankability issues in biodiversity finance and promotes private investment with impact metrics like hectares protected and emissions sequestered. Structured as a revolving facility, CRLF integrates conservation, adaptation, and livelihoods in carbon-vulnerable landscapes.
