Abstract: This policy paper distills lessons from a 2023 GCSP workshop on climate resilience in fragile regions including Kenya, Nigeria, Myanmar, and the Sahel. It identifies enablers such as governance, funding, local ownership, and data systems, and proposes inclusive approaches like FMNR and grazing committees. Kenyan case studies include Samburu's SCALE program and transhumance tools. It advocates for climate-finance access, indigenous knowledge, and locally led adaptation, while calling for systemic reform in peacebuilding and equitable climate investment structures.
