Abstract: The KCB Group Framework for Green, Blue, Social and Sustainability Bonds provides a framework for financing and refinancing projects that generate positive environmental and social outcomes. It sets out eligible green, blue and social financing categories and establishes processes for project evaluation and selection, management of proceeds, allocation and impact reporting, and external review. The framework aligns with international sustainable bond principles and provides an indicative mapping of eligible green and blue activities to the Kenya Green Finance Taxonomy. It forms part of KCB Group’s broader sustainability strategy, which integrates climate and nature risk, environmental and social governance, sustainable finance and impact measurement into its operations and financing decisions.
